🗞 My column this week focuses on the government's expansion of childcare. I'm passionate about giving every child the best start in life and this column outlines some of the ways that the government is making this happen.

Community groups can apply for grants of up to £5,000 through the Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner’s SWAP Fund. This fund redirects money seized from criminals back into communities to support positive change. Groups from across Mid Cheshire are more than welcome to apply👇

Yesterday was #worldenvironmentday and this week is #volunteersweek It is a perfect time to thank all those community groups and individuals who keep Mid Cheshire clean and tidy and protect our streets, verges, green spaces, rivers and canals. The efforts of our volunteers go a long way.

🚂 It was an honour to cut the ribbon on the brilliant new mural at Northwich Station. It was created by local artist Jim Stanley and celebrates the Mid Cheshire line. This is what community rail is all about - residents taking ownership of their stations and helping create a real sense of place.

One of my top priorities as the MP for Mid Cheshire is supporting people into decent, secure employment. That's why I am hosting a jobs fair on June 2nd from 11am to 2pm at Brio Leisure centre in Winsford. This is being held in partnership with Winsford Jobcentre Plus and CWAC. More details👇

We were thrilled to receive a visit from MP Andrew Cooper to our service in Winsford. The MP for Mid-Cheshire met with staff and a young care leaver to learn about the challenges faced by young people leaving the care system. The service provides vital skills to help care leavers live independently.
