If we want to make mainstream schools more inclusive, start with revising the curriculum. We’re still teaching a Govian curriculum, which is based on the 1950’s, in a post lockdown and technological world.

Currently on a train to London. In a quiet carriage. Bloke is having a conversation with his partner on loudspeaker. Why do people do this?

A few potential words of the day: Joblijock: a disturber of domestic peace (small children, cantankerous uncles, etc). Yule-hole: the furthest notch in your belt that you need to resort to at Christmas. Confelicity: joy in other people’s happiness. Merry Christmas.

Word of the day (of course) is ‘scurryfunging’, from US dialect: the frantic attempt to tidy the house just before guests arrive.

Off to London (train miraculously on time) for the day, seeing The Tempest, and window shopping. For the love of goats, can someone remind me to get my husband a bloody wedding anniversary card?

I suspect I’ll have 5 copies of TSR: ARC, ebook, hardback, audio and paperback. Working out how I explain this to the husband.

I recommend no fewer than 4 copies of any beloved book. A paperback for traveling and lending to friends, an eBook for reading with greasy snack fingers, an audio book so you know how the characters' names are actually pronounced, and a pristine hardcover to be buried with you like a pharaoh

I’m no longer on the other place so I can’t moan into the abyss there, so sorry BlueSky - I usually shop online. I am partially responsible for the death of my local high street. Just got back from Xmas shopping. Serious? Boots, your paper bags do not withstand rain.
