In the interests of balance, my old Mercury colleague interviewed David Attenborough and the great man was quite rude* to him. * Although I do remember the interview going downhill when my mate admitted he used to pull the legs off daddy long legs and Attenborough was appalled.

My son and his girlfriend fell out last month and he plays Elton John’s ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’ every night before he goes out and it’s beginning to make me feel like I’ve loved and lost.
