In an ongoing project, we ask which countries citizens prefer as benchmarks for policy decisions. Pilot data from the UK show that Denmark is ranked as one of the most preferred reference countries, particularly in relation to migration policy.

Day 2 at #vsjf2025 Still reflecting on the inspiring discussion from Day 1, especially the transformation of "liberals" in Japan and symbolic phenomena in several domains including identity politics.
