The deadline to apply to field a module of questions in Round 14 (2029/30) of our #survey is open until Monday 27 April. This open competition offers teams of #researchers the chance to include up to 30 #questions on a single academic area and/or policy concern within Europe.

New #research published by @esri.ie and @communityfoundirl.bsky.social focused on public support for #welfare and redistributive policies in Ireland 🇮🇪. The study – written by Daniel Capistrano, Bertrand Maître and Helen Russell – included analysis of our #data (2002-24).

Harmonised datasets focusing on climate change, digitalisation, equality, health and resilience are now available. They include #data from five social #surveys that have been harmonised to make them as comparable as possible, even if the question text and response scales differed.

New #research published by Health Policy and Technology (@elsevierconnect.bsky.social) included analysis of our #data. Adrian Kellner, Eli Feiring and Terje Hagen (@uio.no 🇳🇴) examined whether different approaches to the pandemic by Norway 🇳🇴 and Sweden 🇸🇪 affected levels of #trust.

The source #questionnaire being used for Round 12 (2025/26) of our #survey is now available. Data collection is currently taking place in 31 participating countries using a mixed-mode approach. The first publication of Round 12 #data is expected to take place in November 2026.

New #research into #happiness levels by age compared our #data with the Japanese General Social Survey 🇯🇵. Takashi Oshio (Hitotsubashi University 🇯🇵) and Satoshi Shimizutani (Nagoya University 🇯🇵) assessed happiness levels in France 🇫🇷, Germany 🇩🇪, Japan 🇯🇵, and the United Kingdom 🇬🇧.
