Got to get into Ivalice Chronicles a bit, it's been really nice hearing Ben Starr in a more villainous role, he managed to pack a lot of quiet menace into even early-game Dycedarg's line delivery which I just adore.

Hades II feels great to play, the new mana system is interesting in how it changes the overall gameplay but it's not so much of a deviation that the game feels alien. Just a nice advancement on top of all the new weapons and boons. The game is just as much fun as the original.

I do think the tendency of modern new Super Robot Wars games to do post-canon storylines with a lot of implied history to the world is interesting design, but I really wish they'd go back to letting us actually experience those events in earlier games and do multiple game series like Alpha and Z.

I think this is a worthwhile victory. We need to be degrading the value of Harry Potter as a brand. And a big part of that is making sure it's associated with the virulent bigotry of its author. It needs to be known the license harms brands and does not bring in worthwhile money.

Gomez's statement, in my eyes, places a clear hierarchy on two values she holds. She professes to stand with trans people, but also claims a deep respect for the story and its values. That story directly funds trans harm, but it is more important to her to tell it than for us not to be harmed.
