And with Emily we have finished The New Avengers. That was a very silly end but quite fun too. That was the most enjoyable watch of TNA. Helped by the excellent restoration. Lots to enjoy across the 2 series. Very glad to have had the opportunity to see it in 4K as well

“Why is it always the 10th Doctor?” I can hazard a guess that he probably sells better than the others. Money is usually a sound reason for these things

Almost at the end of The New Avengers and deep into the Canadian episodes. Forward Base is probably the best of the lot. It remembers to have a bit of intrigue and holds back with the reveal. The Gladiators is considered by some to be the nadir of the series. It’s not that bad. Just quite boring!

Some days some ABBA tunes are just what I need!

Watching a Star Trek when it’s politics was more subtle than it is today

I can’t lie… I quite enjoyed Starfleet Academy’s first episode. Wasn’t sure going in what I’d make of it and that was a good solid hour of TV! Interested to see how it develops

The Simpsons season 9 continues and I’ve reached The Cartridge Family, the one time banned episode. It’s oddly unfamiliar What is telling is that we’re getting longer versions of the opening titles more frequently.

The New Avengers in 4K rewatch has allowed us to reappraise the series and a lot of it is much better than we remember and on the whole it’s been an enjoyable watch. Trap however is still one of the worst episodes of anything I’ve ever seen

This is a joyous listen. I went in knowing nothing about Prisoner Cell Block H, beyond it being a low budget soap. From heroin and helicopters to escapes and weddings, it was so interesting to hear why Dan and others get so much fun from it. I ended up laughing just listening to the absurdities!
