Anyone have experience archiving backups to BDXL discs on a mac? I've tried Toast, and it takes literally 30s to input one character into the "name" field, which is not giving me much confidence in the software in general. I also downloaded Burn, but it's also acting up. Anything good out there?

It's kinda wild what a little DB tuning can do… On the 6th we launched a new feature that resulted in 100,000's of new DB queries. And because of a single missing index and a few sub-optimal queries, that caused a huge spike in load. We added the index and fixed the queries, and voila!

If you're migrating data from an old system to a new one, and using a new table for the new data, set the auto-increment ID of the new table to be a round number that's higher than the highest ID in the old table. Some day you'll appreciate it.
