One of the most important lessons I seem to relearn every few years: You will schedule breaks whether you want to or not. You will have down time. Your body will eventually say no. And you can’t just willpower through it. Acknowledge and adjust or life will adjust for you without letting you pick.

To a certain extent, if you are pissed that trans people are attacking Acton, you should be pissed that Acton created a clear incentive for the trans community and our actual allies; probably around a third of the base; to do so. That wasn't a necessary thing to do. She could have just shut up.

Even if Amy Acton wins, she'll be dealing with a Supermajority R legislature. Republicans will still do what they want. The upside for trans people across the US is low with an Amy Acton victory. The downside, allowing this cancer of using transphobia to win, is WAY worse IMO.

Whats worse... A single Democratic loss in a statewide race to a right-wing governor? Or a Democratic Party win in Ohio that uses transphobia to get there, teaching dems across the country that this is a new acceptable tactic? The latter results in no party left to fight for us.
