I theorize that he recognized me? I've been told I look distinct, dunno if that's good or bad. This was before scene was a thing, so I was this hybrid of punk rock and Midwest emo style. As in... I go to Dashboard Confessional concerts and cry. That kind of emo. But also would rock spiked hair.

I like telling dumb stories. Back in college I saw my then-favorite band play a small club in Pittsburgh. I was sitting in the balcony at a table. During my favorite song, the vocalist wandered the crowd. I still have no idea why but he stopped, grabbed my hand and sang to me. I cried lol

Back in the late 90s I discovered anime and manga. My old art style was inspired by Reality Check!, a neat-o 90s comic that I loved. Takes place in like 2012 with a cat who is anthro in the VR world. It's so cute. I tracked down a copy of the original book a few years ago. Still love it. 🥰

At one point when I was attending university I developed my TLK sona into an anthro. Keep in mind this was YEARS before I discovered the furry fandom. I just thought that animal people (Disney Afternoon, Tiny Toons, etc) were neat. One of like... five pre-furry fandom pics I have. Circa 1999 🙃
