There’s a new articles setting that lets you disable the in-app reader. When enabled, articles will open in their original source instead of the built-in reader, both from the Articles feed and the main feed.

i'm not good at communicating it, microcosm services continue to support a significant (and growing) fraction of all atproto apps. pretty sure i (indirectly) serve one of the largest user-bases. usage keeps growing, stuff keeps getting more expensive

Following up on yesterday’s changes, we’ve enhanced the embed card. You can also now follow publications directly from the feed!

I need to finish the @mackinac.social native app, but I really don’t feel like dealing with the App Store.

When posts are shared with a @standard.site embed, you can now click into the post to read it in Mackinac, or click the publication to see other posts or subscribe!

I’m testing a couple of new features for @mackinac.social to make publication discovery a little easier. Search will get a "Suggested Publications" section, and you’ll be able to search for specific publications.

Now, when you click on publications within profile pages in Mackinac, you’ll be taken to a publication page where you can view all posts and subscribe.

Starting today, the Articles feature is out of Labs and generally available! You can now subscribe to publications and read their content directly in your Articles feed. This feature is built on the @standard.site lexicons.

Been working on a bunch of smaller cleanup items for @mackinac.social. There’s still a few things I want to cleanup in compose.

AI settings are now available in @mackinac.social and the @atexplore.social MCP has been updated to respect these settings. This is built to on the @lexicon.community Lexicon so it will work with any app that respects those settings.

Getting closer with Nostr support.

I’m going to add these settings to @mackinac.social tomorrow.

@mackinac.social now renders embeds with @divine.video videos as actual videos rather than a link. It pulls the source from the Nostr event and displays it as a regular video.

We've added trending topics to our homepage to make it easier to see what people are discussing. More improvements coming to the homepage soon!

Going to be adding some broader support for Nostr to @atexplore.social soon.
