Every once in a while, I open Facebook and immediately regret that decision.

Hooking the @atexplore.social MCP into the GraphQL endpoint is pretty cool. It allows the agent do much more dynamic queries.

We've added support for replies on record pages. Now when you're viewing a post, you can see a threaded view of the conversation. This just works on Bluesky posts, but we'll expand this to more lexicons and ActivityPub posts.

Today we’ve expanded support a bit more. ActivityPub posts should now show engagement numbers, we added support for boosted posts, and the view data modal that we have for AT Protocol posts is now available on ActivityPub.

The last couple of days I’ve hit issues with outages in Cloudflare, GitHub, and Claude. What is going on?

Today, we rolled out beta support for ActivityPub posts. We’re still working toward full support, so expect additional updates soon.

Support for @standard.site documents, publications, and subscriptions is now live! This is an extension of the @leaflet.pub support we added last year. Lets us know if you see any issues.

I should be able to wrap up support for the @standard.site Lexicons in @atexplore.social this weekend. I mostly need to test on more records. The records should look the same as @leaflet.pub.

I’ve been experimenting with GraphQL, and now I can perform some cross-protocol data queries, which is kinda cool.

I may or may not have a livejournal out there somewhere…

i’m not a fan of the increase in anti-social behavior we’re seeing in the Atmosphere developer community lately… there’s snark, making fun of newcomers’ mistakes, fixations on perceived slights, & even some targeted aggression/hubris this too is Atmosphere pollution and will not help any of us

I’ve started experimenting with hooking profile pages for @atexplore.social into GraphQL rather than my existing endpoints. GraphQL I think makes a lot more sense than what I had before.

The Lions aren’t playing so football doesn’t matter.

I’ve added a few plugins from @atexplore.social, @lexicon.garden, and @immber.bsky.social. If anyone has any other AT Protocol Claude Code plugin ideas, let me know or feel free to contribute.

I’m probably going to hold off on this a little longer. I’m not really happy with how some of the endpoints are set up. A few of the key ones were thrown together before I fully understood the AT Protocol.

What MCP servers exist for working with the AT Protocol? I’m only aware of @atexplore.social and @lexicon.garden, but I’m sure there are others.

I’m probably going to enable some type of verification search as well, but I’m not sure if it makes sense in that search bar.

We’re working on improving search by expanding the types of data you can search across. In addition to users, you can now search Lexicons! We plan to continue expanding search to include other types of data as well.

A small update: We’ve added a new way to quickly jump between collections in a repo. Press Cmd/Ctrl + K to open a new modal for switching between collections.

I’ve been doing some testing on oauth for @atexplore.social with record editing/deleting. This should be ready this week. It’s going to enable a bunch of other authenticated features I want to build.

OK, Tap is pretty cool. Finally set it up and backfilling some indexes for @atexplore.social.

I spent some time reworking how schemas are pulled and validated over the weekend. Also added some new schema tools to the MCP.

Blacksky @blackskyweb.xyz now has its own servers running the network This means they're able to run their own feature development and moderation policies, while still connecting to Bluesky through the shared Atmosphere network! s/o to @rude1.blacksky.team and the blacksky team for amazing work

For our first launch of the year, we're kicking off with more blocking features! Rolling out today: ATProto across Bluesky, Blacksky, and any other PDS can apply domain blocklists to Bridgy Fed. Blocks come with if you Bounce, and we even added a handy list of reputable blocklists to choose from.

Fun fact for Michiganders, this bridge toggle switch I added to @atexplore.social is the Mackinac Bridge.

It feels like this year we’re going to see some big changes in the software engineering role as AI becomes more heavily used.

I got auth hooked up in the @atexplore.social MCP, and have been testing creating, updating, and deleting records with it. I need to do some more testing before fully releasing it.

I’m debating if having these all collapsed by default looks better 🤔

A couple more new changes are now live! 🚀 - User's Collections are now sorted by identifiers so all the Bluesky, Leaflet, etc.. records will be sorted together. - The data view now has a better UX for viewing JSON. You can also easily copy the record data!
