Wow @coorac.bsky.social I finally received Castle of the Veiled Queen and I have to say it might be the nicest looking module I've ever seen. Paper quality, format, art, presentation, etc are top-notch.

It may be not the best one out of three Vermis guidebooks published so far, but it’s the closest to an OSR module in whole trilogy and it’s so dense that I feel like reading 4 different tomes at once. And it has the best „loading screen” art. Good stuff

Woodcut and linocut are very accessible and you should join the club. This was my third woodcut and I cannot even draw. Also you get to reproduce small Bosch scenes in bigger format and people will love it: share more Bosch, make the world weirder.

On yesterday's 3rd session with Hole in the Oak I finally decided it might not be the best, most cohesive or interesting OSE #OSR module ever published (Incandesomething Grottoes are much better), but man, it has some really wacky gems hidden here and there. Pork-eating-curse ring made our day 100%

So, 1) WotC antagonized whole D&D community with OGL-drama, 2) burnt $ on development of complex video game that was 3) meant to "de-under-monetize" the D&D brand just to 4) kill the whole thing few weeks after its release? I'd be super pissed off as Hasbro's shareholder.
