I was in the park drawing when an old lady sat next to me. She did some crosswords, then started chain-smoking and told me she was 88 years old. The wind kept blowing smoke in my face. You get interesting random encounters sometimes.

I've started drawing notable things the party comes across in my ongoing OD&D x Roadside Picnic campaign, BEAR WITNESS! Here's Session 1: Mainly getting acquainted with Fort Ashrock and learning the procedures for extracting artifacts from The Zone. We're about 5 sessions in so I gotta catch up!

I had a surprise visit on Christmas from the person I taught for the Make-a-Wish foundation - their wish was to make video games, so I spent a year teaching them. I hadn't seen them in 5+ years, we had a nice heartfelt conversation. A reminder that maybe I've had some positive impact on the world.

Just submitted my fantasy hack for the miniature bounty hunting simulator WANTED! REWARD: CC10,000 for an internal Discord jam! I'll put it up on Itch later, but it provides loose guidelines for using old-school D&D content in Wanted! And yes, that is a space marine about to shoot a Chimera.

Almost completed my portable dungeon terrain kit! Takes up about half my bag's space, is relatively light, cheap and can represent an extremely diverse array of situations!

We just fought a giant snail in Tunnels and Trolls! Because snails are hermaphrodites and have both a penis and a vagina I was able to pierce its genital pore and destroy both its reproductive organs, getting it to rear up exposing its underside which we then stabbed with spears

Planning on starting a one-on-one home Carcosa campaign (inspired by @save.vs.totalpartykill.ca) using Meatheads rules by @blarkblarkblark.bsky.social! Meatheads will be birthed from a Meat Grinder that, once per week, transforms one Red Man into a Meathead with no prior memory.

If the OSR ever needed an idol, I think this near perfect

Just played in an OD&D one-shot run by @idraluna-archives.bsky.social I played a fighter who failed every single roll he did then died horribly. Because he was also the lantern bearer, he also shrouded the entire party in darkness by dying. It was great fun! (Also, I was mapper, of course.)

I made cardboard tiles cause ive been trying to craft terrain before bed to relax... I only made 4 (and a trap tile) but they can be flipped over and reconfigured in a ton of ways!
