It's Halloween. I hope you read or watch something scary. I hope the shadow of that tree by your window makes you think of skeletal hands clawing to get inside. I hope the distant roar of a chainsaw fills you with terror. I hope you remember what it's like to be a child again, scared but exhilarated

Currently seated for the original A Nightmare on Elm Street at our local theater. 5 bucks a ticket. I'm excited. I've seen it in the small screen a million times, but never like this.

As the holiday season is fast approaching I ask that everyone remember their friends that may be struggling with sobriety. It's a hard time of year for a lot of us and just a word of encouragement or someone to talk to can mean a lot. And if you're one of us, know that I love you, and believe in you

the knife twists its blade biting and ripping microscopic tears becoming larger, exponentially what will it reveal? a sack of flesh, bones shining? or a hole, black as midnight, empty, a void. does it matter? is the cutting all there is?

the mountain is high, the climb hard bones dot the path, markers not of failure, but of everything given They bleed and spit and cry they try to remember why they started on and on they go, intention fading to naught but ambition they do not know that there is no peak.

You ever feel like the world is moving on without you? I'm super behind and out of touch. Life goes so fast now I'm tired of trying to keep up. Feel like I should just crash and burn.

I recently watched the original Halloween with a friend who had never seen it before. I sometimes lose sight of how effective a movie like that is because I've seen it so many times. Watching the tension and suspense build on her face proved again just how masterfully made it is. It's perfect.

Art is only art when created by a living thing. It is an expression of who a person is. Ideas are the seeds of these creative expressions. Prompts are ideas. Don't trade the seeds of your creativity to a souless machine for quick results. Put in the work to make your ideas real.

It's funny that so many Christians are so upset that the leader of the Catholic Church doesn't share their same views. Imagine their faces when they realize his boss doesn't either.

Headlines like this are not helpful. The creators need to be called out. This is worded in a way that makes it seem like actors are calling out another actor, which is validating the "AI actor" bullshit.

I've always been a rock and punk guy, but I gotta say that Tyler Childers is pretty awesome. The guy can sing and play like a madman and his songs have real meaning. I've also seen how he's been donating money to help people in Appalachia and the Blackfeet Nation in Montana, which is great.

As a lifelong lover of music and horror, Ryan Coogler's masterful film "Sinners" spoke to me on a level so deep that I felt real pain when it ended. This is a movie that I know I will come back to time and time again. People use the term "instant classic" a lot but this one truly is just that.
