The archeologists working in the field behind our house,have found evidence of an Iron Age settlement. There's something rather wonderful about knowing there were people living here sometime between 800 BC -43 AD.

What a beautiful day! Been preparing my veggie patch and making it a bit bigger. Pleased to see it's full of worms.Also demolished the roof of our covered seat which had rotted. Very satisfying.

Big diggers in the field behind our house, doing big digging.Looks like those 92 new houses are going up soon. Heart broken for all the foxes,deer, and small mammals,and buzzards and owls that hunt over it. Also for me who has spent 35 years watching them all. Bloody hell.
