Combat animations is quickly becoming one of my favourite things to learn. It's really rewarding thinking about the speed, feeling of impact, low or high anticipation ect Extra points when I'm allowed to try and suggest alternative animations to the same brief. the videogame industry kept growing in money/scope as long as it did because there was new technology for it to attach itself to for investors to be interested in. that's no longer really the case anymore - and so videogames as a whole now are going to have to find a different identity.

I hang out with so many game devs and marketeers that I always (mistakenly) assume this is common knowledge. If you want to do a gamedev a gigantic favor that costs you literally nothing but 3min of your time, write them a Steam review. ESPECIALLY if they have less than 500 or so.

I find it fascinating that there are so many dragon survival games popping up (all in development still) but there seems to be a lack of devs looking into other genres using a dragon as the player character with an actual personality. Wonder if that could change 🤔 ;)
