Yesterday I presented my ongoing work at the Department of Food and Resource Economics of the University of Copenhagen, where I'm visiting. Next one up is then University of Lund next Monday, and then the Roskilde campus of the University of Aarhus. I feel a bit like a travelling salesman.

Das dänische Wunder: seit der Grenze funktioniert die Klimaanlage plötzlich wieder.

Pro: Wir fahren, die Türstörung ward behoben. Contra: Klimaanlage funktioniert nicht, es ist… nennen wir es warm.

I don't quite agree with the "unremunerated" (because it suggests that reviewing isn't an inherent part of the job of a publishing academic), but the diagnosis is, unfortunately, still pretty spot-on. Our obsession with quantity is the problem.

Main message for me: the most effective way to reduce food insecurity in the future is clearly drastically reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
