i am: starting to write dialogue again

I have a decent amount of free time and I don't feel especially burnt-out, but I don't know if I've been in the right mood to work on writing lately... having a tough time feeling motivated :/

went from "eh, I've got some time tonight, maybe if I get started on Half-Life I'll have enough momentum to get through a decent amount of it before I inevitably get bored" to barely being able to pull myself away from it. this rocks. did you know that Half-Life is a good video game

yeah wow this is actually pretty fun! I'm already past the point where I chickened out the first time (which was not particularly far). no matter how much farther I get I'm already considering this a win. I can like, enjoy the videogame now.

i don't know if I'll have the patience/skill to get through the whole thing (and I've had a habit of shelving games early recently...) but I think I'm interested in giving Half-Life another shot

I'd get a lot further with my writing if I looked at my old notes more and didn't panic as much when seeing outlines that were written over two years ago

it takes like 2.5 weeks for me to re-remember how to write a single scene in my script. the rest of the time in between is spent trying to be as productive as I can while the only action I can perform is “sulk around”

can someone finish writing the rest of my game for me I’m out of ideas and very sleepy

glad to see my skill hasn't totally worn off after all this time! I got very close to 1CCing EoSD on Normal on my first try. (if I didn't take a stray hit in Stage 2 I would have totally had it...) the memories are flooding back. these games are so cool

I feel like I was kind of in a creative slump in a similar point last year... I'm in a healthier place with the project compared to then (still pushing along) but this is just the sort of time where revisiting older games feels very appealing to me. need to heal my soul.

there are like twenty different games I've been thinking about revisiting lately but playing through a bunch of Touhou games again seems super comfy right now

I've recently been replaying Cosmo D's past games to work my way up to Moves of the Diamond Hand and it's been an phenomenal time. but after getting so psyched about it, I'm still really on the fence if I should wait for that game to get out of Early Access...

managed to clear up the issues I've been having with my dialogue editor extension, and updated Unity to the latest version while I was at it (I was using 2020.3.37f1 for years) my project's still a hunk of junk but I should feel a bit more comfortable working on scripts again

low Ascension I know but have you considered picking up the 3 pre-upgraded Adrenalines early in your run. maybe power each of them up so they draw you two additional cards, too. it'll help you play your 3 Serpent Forms. and then you can just duplicate your entire deck right before the final boss
