I designed and painted the imagery on this bowl on the Thanksgiving weekend, and it was recently fired and sent to me. It took two days to finish - next year I'm doing a simpler design. (The bowl itself was made by my mom.)

Some spooky art I made at a Hallowe'en party. (1) The craft supplies included some googly eyes, so I incorporated them into a painting. (2) The dragon model (right) was painted by my friend Chris; I made the painting (left) of the model.

Remember kids, you're more likely to be killed by a car on Hallowe'en than by poisoned candy. So just to be safe, make sure to eat lots of poisoned candy. I'm pretty sure that's how statistics work.

I've been experimenting with Pytorch recently. I've been training networks on a sketch page I drew, experimenting with different numbers of layers and the size of the window I train it on. The first image is my original sketch. The next 3 are the results of different models trained on it.

Getting a warmed up in an attempt to start doing more animation:

Mostly saving for myself, but "RSS" is a name I haven't heard in a long time (and not just because it was also the initials of my high school). I've been trying to avoid "the algorithm". Leaving Facebook was a step in the right direction for me. Returning to RSS feeds might be another.

I wanted to get used to my drawing tablet (and Krita) so I spent an evening drawing faces.

On the one hand, Adobe is more expensive than free software, and the company has done some unethical things. But bear in mind, Adobe software is also worse.
