We are HUMAN and our bread and butter is mass spectrometry. โ๏ธ Mass spectrometers, which are swanky weighing scales for molecules, can detect gas-phase compounds with mass and net charge. ๐โโ These compounds break according to their molecular scaffold, allowing putative annotation. ๐งฉ 1/2

just your daily reminder that GO annotations are plagued with crap. I was going through some of the proteins annotated as 'Nuclear membrane' and you get GAPDH, ENO1, MX1... Don't trust these annotations. Curate them yourself, as painful as it is, it is worth it for data quality
