When I read this novella in submissions, I knew we had to have it. The story is dark and timely, focusing on damaged systems: bodies and planets, human and animal. We are more alike than not, every person a world being ravaged by changing climates: environmental, emotional.

Friends and friendlies on here: don't stop talking about your lives and joys. I know some folk are quiet or staying away what with *everything* but posts about cats and books and funny shaped puddles are essential to us getting through it. And shouldn't be drowned out by the fash.

Happy Friday! May I present for your consideration: buy my book? The reasons you should do this are: it's my book, and it's very good, and it has a radish and her fox wife whom she adores and also a rock determined to live her best life even if maybe she wasn't meant to have a life to live.

Look, storytelling is ripping off a little piece of your soul (itโs fine, souls replenish) moulding it and stretching it and twisting it into something interesting and glorious and then using that to connect to other human beings. Computers cannot do that. They will *never* be able to do that.
