In other words, stop demanding the Democrats do something that they have no power to do. If you’re an American and want the Democrats back in power, then you’d be better helping to get Democrats elected this November.

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but the U.S. does not have a Westminster government. The Democrats, as the minority party in both houses of Congress do not have powers like opposition parties do in countries with that type of government.

The new rug was advertised as orange, but it’s terra cotta – but I think it works. The swinging chair was Ira Gershwin’s. I was archivist for the Gershwin Trusts, and when Mrs. G died, she left me that. It used to have a canopy, and we’ve since reupholstered it, but it’s a lovely link to the past. 😊
