Watched Light Chaser Animation's White Snake. The first two acts were bad. Rushed pacing, wooden dialog, very little exposition. Third act was a strong finisher, but the villain heel turn felt thin. Story was thin overall. Had the balls to kill the main love interest. These bitches gay.

Big long term projects really do sort of drain the life out of you. And I always liked playing around in someone else's world more than building one from scratch. Like I got a box of Legos or something. Even TTRPGs I make tend to start as fangames that I scrub the serials off of.
