Uninterested in leading a pile-on but no, AI does not âhave accessâ to everything ever published. Not archival material, obviously, but not secondary material either. Nor across times nor languages. AI is not human knowledge personified. Itâs exactly not that, in fact. Itâs not even a search engine.

I would be remiss not to point out that "Tricking Milli Vanilli into performing a concert for a dictator" is LITERALLY a storyline from the 1990s 'Super Mario Bros 3' cartoon đ

Gazebo-pon my works, ye mighty, and despair! (No, I don't know why that got stuck in my head. Yes, I know it's 'look' not 'gaze' in the text. But if I have to suffer this bouncing around in my skull so do you!)

listen, the only thing I have to say about the Odyssey is that these fucking asshole right-wing chuds don't fucking own history or literature. their racism and bigotry should be met with scorn and shame. read, instead, as James Baldwin (from an interview in 1963):

Well the Punisher one shot was a flop. Thought at first it might actually zig & give us something interesting and the urban hellscape was the projection of Frank's mental health spiral. But, nope, apparently it's supposed to be real and Frank's mental illness and ultraviolence is good and desired.

You might be thinking, 'I make normal games so I'm fine' but, uh, you don't get to decide what 'normal' is â they do. Put any description of queerness or sexual trauma in your game and you've given them cause to boot you from their platform. Voidheart wouldn't pass these guidelines, I think.

it is devastating to notice how few benches there are in the world and how some benches have been replaced by weird "leaning" things. the world is incredibly cruel to disabled, elderly, poor, pregnant, tired, homeless, and all people. there should be benches fucking everywhere for everyone

The thing is that this has been true for a long time. Thinking that liberal arts degrees are impractical is received wisdom that collapses under the slightest scrutiny. This claim is only "counterintuitive" if you have bad intuition about higher ed, and, accidentally and on purpose, most people do.

Amused at how irrationally annoyed I get when Netflix decides to drip feed a show despite being perfectly fine with (and often preferring it) on other streaming platforms. You spent over a decade teaching me I'm supposed to unhealthily binge your product. You can't so easily undo that association.

Look, I'm not theistic. I don't care about anyone's faith. But even I know they're not 'abandoning their faith' - they never actually held it - they're just dropping a mask that no longer benefits them for a new one that does.

Love how we had this series of extremely contentious and contemptuous interactions with this website's higher ups where they pretty much told us to our face "Yeah we're using Al to code, you fucking peasant. Deal with it." immediately followed by a good month of very frequent outages on the website.

TTRPG with old-school "you can die in character creation" mechanics, except most terminal events are stuff like "reached adulthood with no major traumas" or "found a love of carpentry", so your goal is to make enough bad life choices that your character is a big enough loser to become an adventurer.

So, thing that is apparently better understood inside academia than outside of it: International students pay sticker price. Most domestic students do not. International students are subsidizing the education costs for domestic students, as per student governmental funding drops.

Remember kids: You can't 'separate the art from the artist' while the artist is still actively benefitting from you consuming the work. That's just willful ignorance. Not saying you can't consume what you want but be honest with yourself about it.
