Something I wish liberals - and, for that matter, a lot of leftists - would internalize: The goal is not to out-argue, disprove, fact-check, debate, or point out the inconsistencies or hypocrisies of fascists. The goal is to defeat them.

As an autistic trans person, this has been clear to me for a long time. These people are extremely uncomfortable with happy, weird little guys existing.

Craft is something they are trying to take from you. Do not let them. Hold it with clawing fingers tightly against your beating heart and do not let it wilt.

No one is just their disability. Culture, socioeconomic status, location,etc are a part of the disability experience. This carries over into accessibility. It's important to think about when addressing access barriers. It's important to have voices in the field that aren't the usual seen in tech.

I think we'll see over the next few months quite a few companies throwing up overlays in a quick and dirty way to comply with the European Accessibility Act. The thing is EAA says that overlays aren't an acceptable solution for compliance.
