We recently discovered that in 2023 they resurrected Happy Valley (2014-2016) for one more season, so we watched it. Great stuff. Laugh your head off one minute, shit yer pants the next. Turn on closed captions, though, 'cause the Yorkshire accents are as thick as treacle.

Watched season 1 of the thriller Mr. Mercedes (Netflix) and enjoyed it, but two episodes into season 2 it took a weird turn toward fantasy, and we both agreed to drop it. Too bad. Not even Brendan Gleeson could convince us to continue.
