My hot take is that this is a good change, albeit wasteful and self-aggrandizing. Congress should have to say out loud that they are spending $1 trillion per year on "War." No euphemisms. $32,000 of tax money EVERY SECOND of every day on War.

When I was reading up on policies prohibiting free municipal wireless a few months ago, it was pretty hard to fathom how policymakers could be so deliberately cruel. In contrast, teams like @phillywireless.bsky.social @nycmesh.bsky.social @dcmesh.bsky.social & more are doing extraordinary work!
