The multimodal reasoning is very cool. Something I’ve been tracking with models for a while and Gemini 3 Pro was the first to produce a plausible response.

The Seattle area runs 14% less bus service today than it did in 2019. The region grew by 3% in that time. We’ve got to get back to running more frequent transit. From what I can tell, the 18F group within the federal government was one of the most effective teams at bringing modern software practices and modernizing many government agencies' approach to technology. Laying off people in this group seems antithetical to improving government efficiency.

My dad bought an IMSAI 8080 kit computer when I was 9 (~2 years before the Apple II came out). Although it was satisfying entering 8 bits of info one toggle switch at a time, productivity improved considerably once we got an actual keyboard! (Then I could type in BASIC games from Ahl's book)

First bsky post! Super excited about the new MatQuant work! Allows training a quantized model where 2bit weights are nested within 4bits and so on. This enables "reading" off accurate models that can have 2bit quantization in the first layer, 4bit in the second layer etc. [1/n]
