According to polling, it’s already backfiring, at least politically. The GOP isn’t going to stop them from doing what they’re doing, but they’re certainly going to pay for it come voting time. Unless we’re going to go on a nationwide strike, voting is really our only reasonable way out of this.

Unfortunately, the voters put them in a terrible position. They could demand constraints on Trump’s power, but they might as well demand a dragon that farts rainbows. They see healthcare as something they could actually get, which is why that’s the line they drew in the sand.

He’s flat-out told most of them to not hold any events - they’re literally hiding from their Constituents. But yeah, this isn’t going to end well for the GOP. The American people know who holds the power in literally every branch of the government.
