Grady Judd endorsing immigration reform and calling for the Trump admin to pull back on deportation is seismic. He is a strong Trump and DeSantis ally who has been a hardliner on immigration for years.

"The FBI has closed a politically charged voter fraud inquiry sought by Nevada's top federal prosecutor," per CBS sources. A Trump U.S. Attorney appointee had said the probe could bring down top Nevada Democrats, but an FBI database review identified only 38 possible non-citizen voters.

Please note most federal grants *required* information on how the grants would benefit underserved or understudied groups. If you applied for a grant, you *had to* include something that would speak to diversity and equity.

But what worried economists like @jc-econ.bsky.social and @courtneyshupert.bsky.social is the WAY the change was made: on an ad hoc basis, outside the normal revision cycle, and without public disclosure.

An obscure methodological tweak -- a change in the source of data on the price of legal services -- resulted in meaningfully lower monthly PCE inflation in January.
