They don’t need a tool to assess where to drop a bomb when they have one that confidently confirms any location they choose. They don’t need autonomous drones to drop those bombs, they just need to give an order. So the human is just a conduit for the machine, which is just a conduit for the human.

They don't *need* AI to make these decisions. But they *want* AI to make these decisions. Because the tech gives them plausible deniability--something to blame (other than themselves) when things go wrong.

I find this question about whether chatbots are “alive” to be truly, truly boring. You can torture a definition of “life” so that it includes chatbots or you can listen to actual, unequivocal flesh-and-blood people talking about harm it does them *right now*.

Lots of accounts floating around right now about working with AI, especially concerning coding, agents, multiple agents, coding for X days or hours, etc. Aside from the results or merits, I'll just note that a lot of their "lessons" are things some people never do for their human colleagues.
