I think Ive read enough Discworld to conclude that the Coolest character by far is Granny Weatherwax. Doing things like setting yourself on fire in order to cause the voodoo doll possessing you to burst into flames in the hands of the villain is awesome.

Discworld Calendar - August 1999 Soul Music by Josh Kirby It's summer so time for a Music With Rocks In festival. Looking at this, especially the part that's the front cover of the book, you can tell Sir Terry enjoyed Meatloaf, and I guess Josh Kirby did too or took that as inspiration.

We have been visited by Anoia! The cutlery drawer will not open, not even enough to waggle something else inside to poke the obstruction. It's 2 large knives which have been stored together before, but not well on this occasion. Attempting percussive maintenance for now, with little success.

As a kid, I was at 3 hour theatre play of Terry Pratchett's Masquerade. I loved it but I was getting tired, so I started slowly removing my shoes, making squeaky noises during a tense quiet scene. My mom poked me, reminding me that sir Pratchett sits right behind us. He giggled into his beard. 🐢
