“Disproportionately, these regulations ... have impacted athletes from the Global South. " Correct. Athletes with male DSDs from the Global South. So the athletes who benefit most from the DSD regulations are female athletes from the Global South. Good.

Reclaiming “protect girls” | Victoria Smith | The Critic Magazine
Earlier this year, I took part in a radio discussion about feminism, kindness and women’s work. I’d thought it was going quite well, then towards the end it took a slightly odd turn.

Do you only care about males with DSDs who are not white? Or do you ever spare a thought for females without DSDs who are not white and never make it to the world stage because athletes with male DSDs have taken their places/careers/medals?

To summarise: If "trans women are women," any man can get access to the women's showers (no transition needed), any man can replace women athletes with men, and any rapist can get free access to more women, after being caught. If you tell me you don't see the problem here, you're lying. TWAM. /

People here on BlueSky are still telling me: "Trans women are women." Of course, this is objectively nonsense since the requirement for being a trans woman is that you have to be male. But here are some trans women that further prove the problem with that statement. 🧵/

Do you have any analysis of relations of power, value & hierarchy between different groups of people or are you just a liberal individualist? Those of us on the left have an analysis of income & wealth inequality (socioeconomic class) just as we have an analysis of sex inequality (patriarchy).

Men are responsible for 99% of sexual offences against women and girls. It's common sense to keep all men out of women's spaces. That's all we ask. Since you opened the door: prison stats show that trans identifying men are, in fact, more predatory than the average men in prison.

But is it really so ridiculous and dangerous for women to do so considering all that Hollie goes on to list? There is no moral equivalence when the balance of power is so skewed. It is not the same thing.
