Did you know? As of early 2025, most Californians didn't think Gavin Newsom cared at all about governing anymore. Only 26% of Californians (a deep blue state!) thought he was focused on the state. The presidential election was 3.75 YEARS away & he couldn't even be bothered with us. Still can't.

Even if the settlement with Northwestern should've never happened, 2 awesome inclusions in the agreement: 1. Northwestern has been forced to reaffirm support for the law (Title IX - fairness in women's sports) 2. Also newly affirms support for evidence-based medicine for transidentified children đ

Out of curiosity I decided to try and run the numbers on how much Netflix you can watch for the energy cost of a ChatGPT prompt As far as I can tell it's between 5.1 and 10.2 seconds, depending on which end of the 2019 IEA Netflix energy usage estimate you use

Tom Steyer has a new ad in his CA governor campaign. He says "Sacramento politicians are going to hate this" & also bleeped himself out saying "bullsh*t" in the same ad. The chances any of this is truthful is remote but I appreciate the thought. +1 for Steyer.

One of the ways we could pick better candidates in primaries is to weed out who is allowed to vote. For example, if you are a parent that thinks "Instagram Teen Accounts" & "YouTube Baby Accounts" are safe products for your little future adult, then, you should lose the right to vote in the primary.
