Today, the Mass Climate Lobby is taking place at the Scottish Parliament, the largest ever event of its kind. Politicians who feel they have genuine constituent support are more confident in taking bold positions and pushing for the changes you want to see.

The climate crisis is a crisis of justice. Our faith calls us to act for a fairer world, one where those most responsible for harm take responsibility, and those most affected are supported. This Saturday, join Quakers for a multifaith vigil before the Make Them Pay climate justice demonstration.

Last week, we held a Meeting for Worship outside the DSEI arms fair, challenging the event alongside a diverse coalition of protesters. As people of faith stood in silent protest, arms companies inside continued to strike deals that fuel war, repression, and genocide around the world.

Quakers have joined churches across the UK in prayers for peace in the Middle East, amid growing violence in Israel and Palestine. This follows the World Council of Churches' global call to prayer, amplifying the call for a ceasefire in Gaza, the release of hostages and a meaningful peace process.

The UK trades with illegal settlements in Palestine, driving the humanitarian crisis in the occupied territories and undermining the viability of a future Palestinian state. We have joined an international campaign to stop foreign complicity in Israel’s illegal settlement project.

We have applied to intervene in the judicial review of the proscription of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation, saying the ban has undermined our freedom of religion. Quakers have a long history of non-violent action against injustice and oppose war and violence of any kind.
