I'm an engineer by profession and teach industrial automation in higher ed. I spend most of my time thinking about this industry. The Gen AI industry is both based in the US and has focused nearly all its attention in the US. Nearly 20% of ChatGPT users are from the US alone.

Tech companies invested in Gen AI are panicking because the world knows and its indisputable that the US is the best at technological development and new product development. If *we* are suspicious of a new tech everyone else will be.

Of COURSE Americans are going to lead hating Gen AI more than any other country. Nearly all the players in the space are US based and most of the pitch is made here for a number of financial reasons. If Gen AI cant work in the US its a *wrap* anywhere else.

I know how the "technology sausage" is made. You dont need to have blind faith in these companies.

Even being optimistic about Gen AI is more dogma than anything else. There is no reason to even think it will ever get to a useful space given the technological and economic *facts* of today. Its all faith.
