3rd July 2018 / 2026. 8 years since Mingus strolled through the front door I'd drunkenly failed to close with his sister. They were a few weeks old and covered in fleas. 8 years on, here we are. I miss Etta every day and long to know where she is but Mingus is the best friend a human could wish for.

On a personal level, this is why we do the label. Chris has gone from being an avid music fan to making an incredible concept album in under 4 yrs. We can't take any credit but him having a supportive home for his art can't have hindered this. Makes me go all cry-y sometimes, really does.

We pressed 200 on red/black 'scorchmark' LP and each comes with a set of postcards, an inlay book of the original record of the 1577 attack and a full colour inlay. The first 80 copies come with a unique handwritten/numbered 'Sighting Card' detailing a genuine Shuck visitation over the ages.

Everything at our level is a 'labour of love' but this one was crazy. The beautiful sleeve art by @artofdannydavies.bsky.social and the incredible photos by Steve Gullick perfectly represent the attention and care that Chris Spalton aka The Breedling has devoted to this project. It's remarkable...

Another one. Any artist whose work involves the suffering of animals is a cretin. Extendable in most situations to include animals that were already dead. Rules out some cinematic heavyweights and musical antagonists but so be it.

Life advice, for what its worth: if you have a friend who gets mean and vindictive when they're drunk then when you next see them sober, address it. Be sincere. Tell them they hurt your feelings and upset you. Tell them why, politely. If they ever do it again after that, cut them off immediately.
