Since I'm apparently just going for it today... There are two main styles of thurible. The first one has a single chain. The benefit is that you can't get anything tangled up. The downside is that you can't hold the thurible's top in a semi-up position, so its handle gets hot.

great day for our church: we had our local firehouse come to our shrove tuesday pancake supper. they brought their dalmatian. two children came dressed in full firefighter costume. the firefighters gave autographs. i'm dead from cute ⚓️
