Last week the Trump-Vance FTC filed a brief defending Click-to-Cancel and describing industry legal attacks as “based on a fallacy.” Likely to lose in court, industry is now looking to Congress for a bailout. This effort should be cancelled immediately.

Commissioner Slaughter and I just sued to clarify that we're still FTC commissioners. But this is bigger than us. This is about economic stability. If the President can break a 90-year-old Supreme Court ruling to fire us for no reason, he can do it to the Fed, the FDIC and SEC.

Today is my last full day as Director of BCP. We’ve had in incredible run. Taking on junk fees, commercial surveillance, subscription traps, and more, we’ve advanced the most ambitious consumer protection agenda in decades. And as I detail below in a farewell post, we’ve delivered.
