Finished #Dolmenwood session 4 yesterday and the party went and investigated a destroyed village and confirmed that Crookhorns are indeed bad news. They managed to find a trunk full of treasures hidden there but otherwise are at a crossroads for next session. Smuggling? Helping the poor? Who knows!

Started my Dolmenwood Campaign yesterday with 7 players and ended with 7 non-dead players. I consider that a win! Sure they may have fallen for a magic sign that lies to you and run through the woods from an Antler Wraith but the Council of Prigwort paid them for stopping some local brigands so woo!

Important corollary to this for people resistant to it is most ttrpgs aren't 3 books, 1000 pages or £90. If I were so green as to think learning every game were as much of a money/time/effort investment as D&D I'd also feel more comfy bending it into every genre shape than doing something new.

What's your favorite Battletech design? The Centurion is a working horse of a mech able to move at an okay rate, take a hit and keep firing back. All of this at a reasonable cost so you can see Centurions everywhere as a popular can do mech. The standard CN9-A having a rear laser is a quirk though
