Listen. I spent more than a decade as a theatrical technician, rigging stages, hanging lights, flying scenery, etc. The number of times I have dropped anything on a stage with performers on it is zero. The number of times I’ve dropped something that might’ve killed someone is zero. This is major.

He got re-elected after January 6 riots attempting to hang his own Vice President. Everything about Trump's second term breaks my brain. Historians will ask how could this possibly happen?

Kane stumbled, stubbed his toe and fell into the goalkeeper. That's never a penalty. But yes, it's one of those where whatever the ref decides, the VAR will go with.

Kane was looking for that, dragged his foot. One of those where if the ref gave it or not, VAR wouldn't intervene regardless, leave it to the official.

So we have the Home Secretary's statement on changes to immigration and asylum, and, despite the attempt to spin it otherwise, they are some of the most regressive measures we have seen. 1/

Among the many, many problems with this idea is that in America (unlike other developed countries) you have to pay at least $30,000 in hospital fees just to give birth. So it'd probably be a net loss, in the end.

Yes this stuff is under-promoted, but honestly if you want to know what's on BBC Four then the best way is to check what's on BBC Four. I do a quick trawl of the EPG each week, it only takes a few minutes.

United States is the only highly developed country competing in the FIFA World Cup that does not guarantee universal healthcare for its citizens. Every other nation participating in the tournament guarantees medical access through various public, private, or mixed national health systems. Details ⬇️

I can’t bring myself to be too celebratory. This should have been a 9-0 slam dunk. My main takeaway is that there are currently 4 votes to undo a longstanding constitutional guarantee that 15 years ago seemed beyond any serious question.

BREAKING: The Supreme Court in a 6-3 vote UPHOLDS birthright citizenship, affirming the default rule that all persons born in the United States (with narrow exceptions) are U.S. citizens at birth. A total LOSS for President Trump and the effort to rewrite the 14th Amendment.
