The mere possibility that hundreds of thousands of immigrants living in the United States will be required to leave their families, homes, and jobs behind for months or more to adjust their immigration status outside the country is as unwise and it is unacceptable. (1/2)

#OTD in 1919, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 19th Amendment. It's particularly important to remember now, as some in power seek to roll back the rights Americans have fought so hard to secure, including the right to vote.
