Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 that Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, we honor those who have fought for freedom and recommit ourselves to delivering on America's promise of liberty for all its people.

As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, we must tell the full truth of our history — the good and the bad. This fight isn't over, and I won't rest until we stop Trump's censorship. My full statement on today's court ruling on the slavery exhibits at the President's House:

Trump continues to blame others for his disastrous economy — which is why he's spent his entire second term attacking the Fed over inflation he's causing. The new Federal Reserve Chair, Kevin Warsh, must protect our economy by defending the Fed from Trump's interference.

Trump said he wouldn't use taxpayer dollars for his ballroom. He lied. While Americans struggle to get by due to his tariff taxes and his Iran war, Trump is spending their hard-earned money on yet another vanity project.

Republicans already sent prices skyrocketing and slashed health care for millions of Americans. Now, they want to double down by drowning people with deadly conditions in more paperwork. It doesn't get much more cruel than kicking cancer patients off their health care.

This is the most hopelessly out of touch administration in American history.
