This is why New York needs it's hometown paper: “We can’t have any more problems, you need to work with your peers,” Mastro said, according to the source’s description. “Everything you’re doing is in the Daily News.”

Heath Freeman and his private equity goons are trying to buy yet another paper — with money we've been demanding go towards LIVING WAGES for the employees they already have. This was the point of our rally last week: the money for a fair contract is there.

The mayor of New York City, describing the freedom of the press as a “luxury” and intimating that my colleague is doing “something wrong” for asking a question—at a press conference, no less.

Mayor Adams might have let our senior City Hall reporter @c-sommerfeldt.bsky.social in the room today — a week after banning him for asking a question — but he doubled down on and refused to call on Chris. This even after two other reporters yielded their time to Chris.

The mayor continues to refuse to take a question from me after multiple reporters cede their questions to me. He claimed last week he would have security block me from getting into his weekly off topic briefings. I am in the room though.
