One last post before I'm away for who knows how long. The therapy in the clinic consists of stabilising and breaking again and again... until it eventually gets better. The positives of therapy outweigh the negatives, but I now understand why EVERYONE says I'm brave...

On the one hand, I think ADHD medication is great, but sometimes my emotions really go crazy. Maybe that will improve once my traumas have been dealt with

My new favourite hobby is now archery. I got to try it out for the first time today and apparently I'm a natural. Pretending to be Katniss Everdeen feels great 🥰🥰🥰

We've just said goodbye to someone in our therapy group who I've only known for a week. It was so emotional that half the group started crying (including me). That's when you realise how quickly you can build up a deep bond and how wonderful this feeling is...

I found out that one of my favourite fellow patients has DID and she was able to give me a few insights. It's admirable how she deals with it. She radiates a great sense of calm and maintains the hope that she will find her way. There are so many strong people among us from whom we can learn so much

My Sakura Tunisian crochet colorwork jacket is FINALLY done! Boy was that a ride, but a fun one considering there was no real plan. At least the few motif problems caused by switching to working knit stitch to side-to-side were fairly easily solvable. And yes, of course there are secret pockets! 🧶

I'm thriving with my ADHD medication today. I have been triggered more than 10 times and can keep my emotions under control. I guess I'm winning and the therapy is really helping 😌🤘

i dont believe in "friendship decay". there is a difference between people being busy vs someone actively pushing you out of their life and both are ok. some people arent meant to grow w you and have their own journeys. if you are my friend and we dont talk for weeks, we are still friends

The best thing about this clinic is that you can make an appointment with a doctor every day (even on Saturdays and Sundays). Hopefully they can help me later

Yesterday I learnt that a certain amount of selfishness is very important. Someone who can't set boundaries is not doing themselves or others any favours. So please don't feel bad if you sometimes say no. 1/2

I'm not sorry for my absence from social media. For me, it means that the healing process is working better than I thought. Sometimes I lock my phone in a safe during the day and that really helps to reduce my time on social media ☺️💜
