Every other art form i have tried BESIDES comics, is less difficult than comics. Its CRAZY how much work comics is. Its exhausting. Its so much endless labor. On the other hand now everything else feels easier so now i am very powerful like a shonen anime character taking off his limiters.

People will really say "I want to see more queer stories" but then crucify queer creators for not catering directly to them. Absolute buffoonery. You can't just bully people into making stories directly aimed at your tastes, that's how you get burnt out creators who don't want to fw you anymore

Comics are actually very difficult to write if you’re coming from a prose-writing background. It’s a VERY different skillset from prose—in fact, it’s closer to writing a screenplay than a novel. You gotta know enough about film language and camera to make the comic panels & art *mean* something.
