Artists on VFX farms are blue collar art workers & don't make bank. The hours are absurd & the work intense. Paying them even less is unconscionable, let alone on movies raking in billions on the books. Why are these wealthy people allowed to demand the people making their money be paid peanuts.

if he really believes AI will be great he should put his money where his mouth is and not take any profit from it. Unless he does that this sounds like a baby whining

One time my dad's friend came over when I was like 11 and I was in the living room just reading a Dilbert anthology cover to cover, and my dad's friend was like "Why are you reading every strip in that Dilbert anthology? You're not laughing at all" and it was like he lifted a curse off me

A few months ago, ICE hired me I didn't sign and submit any paperwork. I almost certainly failed the drug test. I'm real outspoken about my opposition to the Trump administration, and I am extremely googlable And yet, there it was, in plain English. "Welcome to ICE!" My latest for Slate

If I was armed and someone was in a car with even the slightest threat of maybe hitting me with said car, I would need to get a little bit squished before I even considered using my weapon. Just saying.

My friends and I joke about when a character in a novel is the same as us. Usually you read a book and reco it to someone with 'you'll like this book, cause you're in it.' Today I started a book where I recognized myself in the main character.

I love to read the comments, but sometimes the comments make me want to comment. And that's the problem with the internet. Like what do you mean you're left wing but feminism pushes you to the right? You only want people to have rights if they like you and you like them?
