I swear to you that to think too much is a disease, a real, actual disease.

we have summer break at work and I am excited to take a break from my most irritating coworker, Claude, who I spend all day interupting and correcting, yet is held in god-level regard amongst the leadership team.

PS- I still have covid symptoms and an extreme desire to leave the house. I have put on a 'not for outside' outfit to keep my ass inside. But it's my town's art festival weekend and I want to go so bad. 😭 Ai ain't helping me with real problems like this.

I am not an AI shill, BUT I think this depends on how you use it. I give it a list of tasks to do that I planned. I don't let it think for me. I also find it to be very iterative. I need to make it refactor a lot. I have to stop it often because it does things wrong. Like 50% of the time.

Claude ran out of Sue tokens today. Today was an especially hard day of 'good catch!', 'you're right!' and I am using Opus. Also it updated and set itself to xhigh, so it was Extremely expensive while it was being fast at being wrong all day.

Reading Unlikely Animals by Annie Hartnett It's really good. It's about family, grief, the opioid epidemic in rural towns. It's got ghosts, a missing person, a pet fox from Russia, a big sweet nanny dog. It's just very good

sometimes I think I should learn to do my own dark magic instead of always relying on etsy witches, but then I think about how I am putting theoretical money into the economy every time I threaten to hire one

there's literally so many solvable problems in the world, white guys just don't want to invest in companies that solve them. We are not lacking good ideas. We are lacking ideas that some rich dude thinks are good.

I have to use claude at work & I only use it when it's frustrating nit picky work. Now during work hours if I'm at my computer and I am doing any sort of frustrating task my brain goes "Claude, do this..." "Claude, make this wing eyeliner match the other eye" "Claude finish frenchbraiding my hair"

i have been looking at local events in my neighborhood since taking that Soul Collage workshop. I found one run by a white lady with a fake indian name who teaches how to make a Medicine Wheel. Which she said she is authorized to do by fake sounding indian name man of the Cherokee.

WHY DO THEY BLAME CLAUDE AND NOT THE PERSON USING CLAUDE? I have to use claude at work and it doesn't do a single thing without my approval. When it does something I don't like, I stop it.

i used to think I'd be a bad manager because I am an emotional sponge who hates more than 2 meetings per day. But now I think I'd be bad because if I ever got negative feedback about my direct reports I would argue with the reporter that they are wrong.

I signed up for a new patreon sticker club. The artist is named Kawafi and the sticker came with a little letter. Nadia talks about all the things going on in her life and what music she's listening to. It was really sweet.
