Finally getting to the bad part of The X-Files, aka Season 7. There are some dull, turgid conspiracy episodes along the way (shoutout Chris Carter), but the mytharc stuff is mostly coherent and entertaining. You can get a lot of mileage out those Syndicate guys intoning gravely

I went to college because it was my only opportunity to change social classes in life. It worked. I also discovered a whole other universe of knowledge while I was there. I think both of these functions are important and should be preserved.

I enjoyed Evil Dead Rise, especially on rewatch, but I don’t love these new movies’ emphasis on family. The next one should be the Deadites going absolutely buck wild on the campus of a private liberal arts college or something

Highly recommend Art for Everybody, a wonderful (critical) documentary about Kinkade and his contradictions

The Odyssey trailer looks nice and all but it's a shame that every actor doesn't sound like the villains in Season 2 of The Wire
