I met a broken woman in group therapy who was a victim of a catfisher. She spent months under "his" control and was brainwashed. She sent him tens of thousands of $$. She had a devastating mental breakdown. And she still loved him and was in complete denial. I hope she survived.

Am I overreacting? I have been hyper vigilant when it comes to online predators since the second I joined the social media science experiment in the early 2000s. Being careful, suspicious, and cautious is the only way I can continue subjecting my private self to this daily threat. 🔥
