Gentle reminder that even though many things are awful, you needn't obsess about it to the point that you're always exhausted. It's challenging, but your emotional energy is much better spent on what makes you and others happy. You can be vigilant without being miserable. You deserve to be happy.

Rather than knee-jerk posting/replying to something that makes you feel guilty or defensive, sit with the feeling you have, investigate it, learn from it, research about it. This is a skill that can be cultivated even (and especially) if you haven't been good at it before.

Was really nice to see a bunch of friends at FC and reconnect with folks I hadn’t seen in a minute, plus maybe make a new friend or two. Was a really bittersweet con for me since it’s the first in over a decade I’ve done without my ex. But I made it, I’m glad I did it.

Went thru the list of FC events and added anything that sounded even remotely interesting and uh... I haven't had a calendar this chaotic since I was a manager. >.> I will probably not make it to like 2/3rds of these, heh, but at least they're there for me to choose from.
